Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding, the couple has made several choices that resulted in public backlash. However, a reality star has accused the couple of making the “stupidest” decision of their lives.

After publicly addressing their passion for saving the environment, Harry and Meghan used a private jet to travel to vacation destinations in Europe. “Celebrity Big Brother” alum Nicola McLean claimed the royals made a major mistake by contradicting themselves.

During a chat with Jeremy Vine on 5, the reality star revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making decisions that are hurting their image.

“They don’t help themselves. Campaigning for climate change, then going on a private jet was probably the stupidest thing they’ve ever done when they know what they are going to do to them. They are going to slaughter them,” she said.

During a press conference in Amsterdam, Prince Harry addressed backlash surrounding his vacation with Meghan, and their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. “I came here by commercial. I spend 99 percent of my life traveling the world by commercial,” he said.

“Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure my family are safe, and it’s genuinely as simple as that.”

Despite his explanation, McLean went on to slam Prince William, who took a commercial flight to visit Queen Elizabeth. The Duke of Cambridge was spotted boarding a commercial flight with Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis after Harry’s scandal.

The circulation of the photos reportedly sparked another heated discussion about Meghan and Harry’s choice of travel.

Although there have been reports that William’s flight was scheduled before his brother jet scandal, McLean believes the commercial flight was a direct jab at Harry.

“I think it’s really bad of his brother to go on the commercial flight so close after he did the private jet,” she said.

“I wouldn’t have done that to my sister. I do feel sorry for them because everything they are going to do, they are going to get slated and hounded,” she added.

Prince Harry and Meghan are expected to kick off their royal tour of Africa in the fall. However, it is unclear whether the couple will be sharing details about their eco-friendly travel plans.
