On Jan. 8, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed on their Sussex Royal Instagram that they intended on leaving their senior positions within the British royal family. Since then, many royal watchers have wondered what this could mean for Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, and Kate Middleton moving forward.

Now, a new report indicates that some of the royals may be quietly reaching out to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a specific reason.

According to the Mirror, Prince Charles and Prince William have been "making plans to provide Harry and Meghan with a haven in the UK" following reports that the couple was "stalked" by paparazzi shortly after they arrived in Canada. Due to them allegedly being followed, the report claims that the Sussexes have been informed that they could return to the U.K. full-time and not be forced to resume their royal duties.

“The palace are very worried about the Sussexes, because they are vulnerable outside the embrace of the family,” a source revealed, adding, "They are making contingency plans in case the Sussexes suddenly turn round and say: ‘Can we come back under your wing?’”

As for where Meghan and Harry could go if they choose to leave Canada in the future, the outlet stated that Frogmore Cottage, Sandringham, and the Prince of Wales's house in Wales are all viable options.

Furthermore, the insider added, "This is a looking ahead thing. There’s no timeline here. But everybody agrees that this is a fragile couple. Nobody is going to say, no they can’t come back."

Aside from speculation that the royals could change their mind about stepping away from royal life, other reports have also emerged regarding the future of the family. It has been said that Middleton has not only made "daring" decisions since the two vacated their positions but that she has also subtly indicated what her focus will be moving forward after Megxit.

Additionally, it has also been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will now have to make another important choice for their son Archie Harrison's future after stepping away from their royal roles.
