Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Scotland visiting Queen Elizabeth.

The Queen enjoys her annual summer break in Balmoral Castle. The members of the royal family usually join her at this time of the year. In fact, last week, Prince Andrew and Prince Philip reportedly arrived in Scotland to spend some time with her.

According to Faith Ridler, a journalist for Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are the latest royals to arrive in Scotland for the summer holiday with the Queen. Prince Harry and Markle will be staying in Aberdeenshire over the bank holiday weekend. Ridler added that enjoying long walks and barbecues are part of their agenda.

This isn't the first time that Prince Harry and Markle have visited Prince Albert's estate. The couple visited the Castle of Mey earlier this summer.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle have not yet talked to her dad, Thomas Markle Sr. The couple were reportedly frustrated with Thomas' recent paid interviews. However, Thomas is apparently hurt that his connection with his daughter has stopped since she joined the royal family. And he is doing interviews because he is desperate to be in contact with the previous "Suits" actress.

Thomas is willing to end his rift with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In fact, he plans to apologize to them, but he has no way of contacting them as their private numbers are no longer in service.

"First, he intends to apologise to them both, face to face, for some of the ill-considered things he has said and done," a friend told Sunday Express. "Then, more than anything, he wants to hug his daughter and tell her how very proud he is of her and how much he loves her."

The insider added that Thomas wanted to walk Markle on her big day and that he would always be upset about not being able to do it as he had to stay in bed following his heart surgery. He also doesn't like how the world perceives him and his family as "trailer trash" folk for cashing on Markle's happiness when he only cares about letting his daughter know how much he loves her. Thomas is reportedly hoping to communicate with Prince Harry or Markle.

"He's praying either Meghan or Harry or a member of their staff reach out to him to arrange a private meeting when they come to America," the confidante said. "He sees this as his last real chance of making amends and re-establishing contact with his daughter before that door closes forever. He’s 74 and desperate for his final years to be happy and peaceful."
