Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly issued a do’s and don’ts list to their neighbors that are now being dubbed as the royal couple’s commandments.

The alleged list was handed out to their neighbors at a recent residents’ meeting. Some of the commandments listed down include not stroking the royal couple’s dog even if the dog approaches the residents.

Prince Harry and Markle’s neighbors are also being discouraged from asking to see their 2-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor. The residents are not also allowed to offer babysitting services to the Sussexes.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s neighbors are also being urged to not instigate a conversation with the royal couple. But in the event that the royal couple talks to them, the neighbors are asked to greet them.

Some of the neighbors who received the dos and don’ts list couldn’t help but call it over-the-top and funny. One of them also said that Queen Elizabeth II never came up with such a list throughout her decades of reign as the monarch.

But a royal source recently clarified that the rules didn’t come from Prince Harry and Markle. Rather, it came from an overprotective palace official and the staff didn’t inform the royal couple about the list beforehand.

“It’s extraordinary. We’ve never heard anything like it… Everyone who lives on the estate works for the royals and knows how to behave respectfully. We aren’t told how to behave around the Queen like this. She’s very happy for people to greet her,” one of the residents told The Sun.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle have been keen when it comes to demanding their privacy. They have also made sure to keep their son’s life as private as possible.

For instance, the royal couple refused to reveal the names of Archie’s godparents. They also ensured that their son’s christening was a private event and only one official photographer was allowed inside the venue.
