Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be encouraged to stay out of the United Kingdom for longer periods of time due to the backlash that they are continuously facing.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that it’s possible for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to consider taking on more jobs and responsibilities abroad. This way, they will be farther away from all of the negativities being thrown at them.

“This is an extraordinary public relations debacle. I suspect it will influence planning for Harry and Meghan to spend more time and take on more responsibilities abroad,” he said.

Fitzwilliams also recounted how Prince Harry and Markle were embraced by the public after they announced their engagement two years ago. But it seems that things quickly changed for the couple after they decided to keep the birth of their son, Archie, private.

“Resentment over the handling of Archie’s birth and particularly the ‘private’ christening, arguments over who and what was ‘private’ and ‘public’ including a ridiculous incident at Wimbledon and a series of speeches and the highly controversial guest editing of Vogue by Meghan have led to this, with Harry being considered ‘woke.’ The British taxpayer contributed £2.4million to restore their home of Frogmore and they should guard their home base… If you are perceived not to practice what you preach you are criticized as they have been for taking private jets even if omissions are offset,” he explained.

But despite all of the criticisms being thrown at Prince Harry and Markle, Fitzwilliams said that the celebrities who showed their support for the couple were correct when they said that the royals are attacked unfairly.

After all, the Duke of Sussex is simply being protective of his wife and son. And as such, Fitzwilliams said that the level of criticism especially on social media may be dubbed as enormous and deplorable. Until today, the royal couple hasn’t reacted to the criticisms.
