Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ongoing PDA during their overseas tour recently sparked debate among the viewers of ITV’s “This Morning.”

On Wednesday, hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford discussed the royal couple’s tour in Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand. Prince Harry and Markle have been photographed looking lovey-dovey with each other and have made headlines because of it.

A Daily Mail journalist who was at the studio wondered whether or not the excessive displays of affection in public are acceptable especially among royals. Eamonn and Langsford seemed to suggest that Prince Harry and Markle should lessen their PDA. However, Twitter users questioned their comments.

“#ThisMorning PDA oh my days! Cours it’s fine, why would it not be, especially with the #RoyalFamily! Some sad, sad people about!” one person tweeted (via Express).

“Nothing wrong with PDA even for the Royals. It shows they are human. I love it,” one fan commented.

“It is not a job. It’s Harry and Meghan’s life. Embrace the PDA,” a third person wrote.

“Nothing wrong with PDA until you stick tongues down each other’s throat,” one person tweeted.

“Me and my fiancé don’t do PDA, that’s our choice. Behind closed doors we are very affectionate,” one fan shared.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Markle and Prince Harry’s continuous displays of affection inspired Prince William and Kate Middleton to do the same in public. Judi James, a body language expert, said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have also become more affectionate due to Prince Louis’ arrival.

“It's normally touch-and PDA-free body language rituals from William and Kate, but they managed to outdo Harry and Meghan here as Kate reached across to place a hand on the arm of her husband’s chair and he put his own hand over it in a very romantic gesture. Their smiles together have changed and their affection and love signals are much more intense and open than ever before suggesting the birth of their third child has somehow thrown them back into the honeymoon stage of their relationship,” James said (via Express).
