Prince Harry wants Meghan Markle to dress like a royal.

There is no doubt that the Duchess of Sussex has her own fashion sense. She was seen wearing pants ahead of the royal wedding. But, this has changed after she married Prince Harry. In fact, many noticed that she dressed similarly to her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. However, the new royal returned to wearing trousers again during their trip to Dublin.

According to Charlotte Griffith, a journalist for Daily Mail, Prince Harry's wife is planning to wear suits in their tour in the Land Down Under. In fact, Markle ordered a range of designers’ suits and a tuxedo for their upcoming overseas trip, but this didn’t sit well with the Duke of Sussex.

"Harry, who has been sitting in on some of Meghan's meetings at Kensington Palace with 'special projects teams' from various designers, is said to have given the thumbs-down to a masculine Stella McCartney tuxedo suit his wife picked out for a glitzy evening event during the tour," Griffith wrote.

The final say reportedly comes from Queen Elizabeth II who is uneasy about the sight of women wearing pants. Many believe that Markle's choice of wearing trousers is also a reminder of Princess Diana's fashion rebellion.

"Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a Royal. Meghan wanted to wear a tuxedo-style suit but Harry said it wasn't traditional enough," one of the fashion teams who visited Kensington Palace said.

The new duchess has been following Middleton's fashion sense, but she still returns to her old fashion style from time to time. When she made her royal debut at Prince Charles' garden party, many described her getup as reminiscent to the Duchess of Cambridge's ensemble when she attended her first garden party in 2012.

Designers also noticed how Markle dressed like Middleton. The Duchess of Sussex's hairstyles have also become more polished like Middleton's.

"Meghan's style certainly bears more resemblance to Kate's since she became Duchess," Anna Mewes, a personal stylist, told Express. "Her overall look has become more polished and her hair at recent Royal engagements has been styled in glossy curls and understated up-dos which are almost identical to Kate's."
