Prince Harry’s prank call with fake Greta Thunberg was a direct result of him ignoring the Buckingham Palace's team's advice, expert says.

The Duke of Sussex has become the latest victim of Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov — aka Vovan and Lexus. According to royal correspondent Richard Kay of Daily Mail, the mistake was a result of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not heading the advice of the palace.

“Yesterday, the Royal Family and senior aides were clearly reeling with shock over the blunder after the calls were published on Facebook and YouTube. Insiders warned that the debacle was a direct result of Harry and Meghan's refusal to take advice from their Buckingham Palace team,” Kay wrote.

“For the past eight months or so the couple have been taking advice from a team of U.S.-based PR agents and business managers, many of whom worked with Meghan when she was an actress.”

Kay added that for sure Prince Harry never thought that the conversation would be made public. However, he displayed “extraordinary lack of judgment” by sharing his mind to a stranger not just once, but twice.

According to reports, the pranksters duped Prince Harry two times. They talked over the phone on New Year’s Eve and on Jan. 22.

Kay added that it was a consequence of no longer having Buckingham Palace’s support. It also showed that Prince Harry is exposed to hustlers and fraudsters whose motives might be more dangerous.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle joined the royal family on Monday for the Commonwealth service. However, their interaction with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was apparently very cold.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were accused of snubbing the Sussexes because they barely acknowledged them. Body language expert Bianca Cobb even said that the Duchess of Cambridge had “zero acknowledgement” to her brother- and sister-in-law.

Meanwhile, an insider told royal biographer Katie Nicholl that Middleton took Prince Harry and Markle’s exit “badly.” The royal mom of three looked tired and was visibly not overjoyed when she saw them. The source said that maybe the future queen was sad because prior to Markle, she, Prince William and Prince Harry were a “happy trio.”
