Prince Philip recently stepped out in public with Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Hello! magazine, the royal couple stepped out of Balmoral Castle this week to meet with Paul Hughes and to award him the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order. Hughes is the chief clerk and accountant of Prince Philip’s household.

Photos of Prince Philip and the Queen during their recent outing were published online. In the photo, the dad of four didn’t look very happy to be with his wife. The Duke of Edinburgh has a grumpy look on his face, and his eyebrows are also meeting in the middle.

Prince Philip doesn’t normally smile when he’s out in public, but his recent appearance made him look upset or even angry. However, by the looks of it, the Duke and Her Majesty didn’t get into a fight.

In fact, the royal couple has been enjoying a relaxing time in Balmoral for the past couple of weeks. They were joined by other members of the royal family including Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and more.

During a previous appearance on ITV, Princess Eugenie revealed what the Queen and the other royals do when they’re in Balmoral.

“Walks, picnics, dogs – a lot of dogs, there’s always dogs – and people coming in and out all the time. It’s a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa, for us to come and see them up there; where you just have room to breathe and run. It’s the most beautiful place on earth ... I think Granny is the happiest there. I think she really, really loves the Highlands,” she said.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also joined the Queen in Balmoral this summer. But Prince William and Kate Middleton have yet to arrive in the vacation home. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are rumored to be avoiding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
