Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth have been married for over seven decades, but this doesn’t mean that the royal couple has the same taste. In fact, there’s one British tradition that Her Majesty loves but the Duke of Edinburgh never got around.

A source said that the Queen loves drinking tea, but Prince Philip dislikes its taste. Royal butler Grant Harrold said in a BBC Three documentary that the monarch is also very particular with how she brews and drinks her tea. She usually serves it before milk.

“I am sure the Queen enjoys her Assam or her Earl Grey the traditional way, made with tea leaves in a teapot and poured into a fine bone china teacup. She will also use a strainer. It is also a myth that members of Royalty use their pinky when drinking, I have never seen that happen once,” he said.

Meanwhile, John Kent, of the small Piccadilly firm Kent, Haste & Letcher, said that he’s quite impressed with the dad of four’s physique. While speaking with The Telegraph, he said that the Queen’s husband doesn’t have an ounce of fat in him even if he’s already old. This is the main reason why Prince Philip wears his clothes well.

“He’s very well proportioned. He’s got fairly long legs, and he doesn’t carry much weight. He was a 31in waist when I first measured him, and he’s now only a 34. That’s incredible. I’ve never had to let out any of his clothes,” he said.

Prince Philip is already 98 years old, and he has lost a considerable amount of weight. Some royal fans are worried about his health, but others are convinced that he’s doing fine. On the online forum site Quora, royal fans said that if the Duke of Edinburgh’s health is deteriorating, an announcement will be made by the palace.
