Prince Philip’s choices in clothing at home is very different from what the public sees when he’s performing his royal duties or attending formal events. When the Duke of Edinburgh is at home, he usually wears worn-out and tattered clothes.

While speaking with Marie Claire, former palace chef Darren McGrady revealed that he even mistook the Duke of Edinburgh for one of the gardeners because of his attire. He said that when the dad of four came into the kitchen, he had a jumper that’s tattered and worn-out.

But upon closer inspection, McGrady realized that it was Prince Philip that he was seeing. The former royal chef’s statement made it seem as though Queen Elizabeth’s husband didn’t look handsome when he’s wearing worn-out clothing.

However, royal fans think otherwise. On the online forum site Quora, Aivis Svirskis, a Latvian translator, said that back in the day, Her Majesty’s husband was considered to be handsome. And even at his delicate age of 98, he still looks very handsome.

Sophie Oldfield, a resident of the United Kingdom, echoed Svirskis’ statement. She said that Prince Charles’ dad was a beautiful child and young adult, who grew up to be a handsome man.

Colette Mark, a former librarian, said that it doesn’t matter if Prince Philip was or is still good looking because the bottom line is, the Queen fell in love with him.

Meanwhile, Prince Philip made headlines recently after a video of himself cursing and shouting at a photographer was published online. In the short clip, Princess Anne’s dad is attending an RAF event in 2015.

A photographer is instructing Prince Philip and the other attendees with him on how to pose. Upon hearing the instructions, the Duke of Edinburgh seemingly became upset. He cursed at the photographer and told him to just take their photo already.

It is unclear if the photographer was able to snap the photo but Prince Philip quickly walked out from everyone.
