Most members of the royal family become the champions of a cause that is close to them. For Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, one of the things that they were passionate about was mental health and raising awareness. Now that they've exited, their royal family members, Prince William and Kate Middleton have taken over.

In an interview to bring attention to the Public Health England initiative, Express reports that William and Kate both spoke about mental health when asked what advice they would give citizens who are currently under stay-at-home orders.

"A lot of people won’t have necessarily thought about their mental health, maybe ever before," Prince William said. "And suddenly, this environment we're in catches up on them quite quick."

"I think the most important thing is talking," he continued. "I think it's always underestimated how much talking can do."

Kate chimed in, "There's been a lot of focus on all the physical get again, physical wellbeing here and going out and making sure that we've got enough food supplies and things like that. We mustn't forget our mental well-being as well."

Not only did the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take over this initiative, but they also surpassed Meghan and Harry with the number of social media followers they have.

As previously reported, it seemed as though Kate and William had raged war on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they were tied with 11.3 million followers each on their respective Instagram accounts. However, now Kate and William have broken the tie and reached 11.6 million followers.

It should be noted that Meghan and Harry have since abandoned their Sussex Royal account in order to take on the new name Archewell. In the most recent post from March 30, the couple issued a formal farewell, for now.

"Thank you to this community - for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world," the caption read. "We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!"
