Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with other members of the royal family, have posed for a group selfie taken by Prince Andrew during the Patron’s Lunch held on Sunday.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were all smiles as they stood on the steps of the Queen Victoria Monument with Prince Harry and around 17 other royals to pose for an impromptu group picture, according to People magazine. The candid photo moment happened at the end of Sunday’s Patron’s Lunch held in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday.

Prince Andrew was said to have called on the members of the royal family present at the event for a quick group shot using his mobile phone. Around 20 members of the royal family even waved at the Queen and Prince Philip who were passing by the said monument at that time in the royal monarch’s Queen-mobile, as stated in the same report.

Some of the members of the royal family who posed for Prince Andrew’s group photo included Princess Anne, as well as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. The Queen’s oldest grandson Peter Philips, who organized the Patron’s Lunch celebration, also joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the picture.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s street party may have been a wet affair given the rain, however, many royal fans and members of the public still came to enjoy the celebration. The Patron’s Lunch in The Mall featured a huge street picnic for around 10,000 people. Many were seen wearing raincoats since umbrellas were not allowed at the Patron’s Lunch venue, E!News reported.

Members of the royal family also spent some time chatting with some of the guests at the celebration. Prince William was also photographed talking with some of the Patron’s Lunch attendees, as well as Kate who even conversed with a few children present at the event. A collage of pictures that featured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the street party was also posted on Kensington Palace’s Twitter account.

The said images were captioned, “The Duke and Duchess meet guests from @TheRCSLondon @tusk_org @retailTRUST at #thepatronslunch #Queenat90.”
