Prince William was seen with other women during his split from Kate Middleton years ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge split in 2007. But that was not the first time that Prince William and Middleton parted ways. In fact, they also broke up during the summer of 2004.

According to Harper's Bazaar, the second-in-line to the throne was spotted with other women during both separations. In 2004, Prince William was linked with heiress Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe.

In 2007, the duke was also seen spending time with several other women. He was photographed dancing in Boujis nightclub with Tess Shepherd. Following this, he was allegedly spotted with 18-year-old Brazilian student Ana Ferreira in Bournemouth nightclub. He was also photographed dancing on a podium with Lisa Agar.

As for the couple's split in 2007, Christopher Andersen's "William and Kate: A Royal Love Story" revealef that Prince William was having doubts about his relationship with Middleton, so he broke things off with her over the phone while she was at work.

The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly excused herself from work to hear Prince William's reasons. However, the royal prince just told her: "I can't...It just isn't going to work. It isn't fair to you."

There were rumors that the "intense media pressure of being in the spotlight" led to their split. Middleton shared her thoughts about their breakup during their engagement interview.

"I think I at the time wasn't very happy about it, but actually it made me a stronger person," Middleton said. "You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn't realised. Or I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger."

Shortly after their split, Middleton flew to Dublin with her mom, Carole Middleton. She visited her first exhibition at the Urban Retreat Gallery and National Gallery of Ireland. She was spotted by the reporters, but Middleton politely declined to talk to them because the media was not aware of their split at the time.

On the other hand, Prince William confessed that he just needed time in order to fully commit to their relationship. In an interview with ITV News, he admitted that their time apart turned out to be for the better.

"It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up so it was just a bit of space, and it worked out for the better," Prince William said.
