Prince William recently met a player named Prince William during his trip to Kenya.

On Kensington Palace’s Twitter account, it has been revealed that the Duke of Cambridge met his namesake at Kinamba, and he also presented him with an AVFC Official shirt.

Last weekend, Prince William was also photographed spending time with a local soccer team while in his official uniform. While in Kenya, Prince William also had the opportunity to interact with the members of the Irish Guards, 1st Battalion, at the British Army Training Unit in Kenya in Laikipia.

The dad of three also handed out soccer balls to students, who couldn’t contain their excitement at the sight of their new toy. Prince William also watched the performance of a group of youngsters in Kenya.

Prince William traveled to Africa last week in his attempt to help fight illegal wildlife trade. As the president of United for Wildlife and the patron of Tusk, Prince William wanted to promote the importance of conservation, among many other things, ahead of this year’s Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference in London, according to E! News.

The Duke of Cambridge embarked on his trip to Africa by himself and without Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge’s maternity leave will end next month.

Christina Reeves, a royal expert, told Marie Claire that Middleton and Meghan Markle do not always need to travel with their husbands abroad on official engagements.

“Typically, William has always worked solo in his fight against illegal wildlife trade, which is why we wouldn’t see Kate join him on a trip like this or him joining Kate on her personal projects, such as promoting the importance of perinatal, maternal, and children’s mental health,” she said.

Weeks ago, Prince Harry also went to Africa for an official engagement, and Markle didn’t join him. When Markle attended the Royal Academy of the Arts’ event last week, Prince Harry didn’t also accompany her.
