Prince William and Prince Harry were forced to separate.

A few weeks back, the palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are splitting their household. Prince Harry and Markle decided to move to Windsor.

In addition, the soon-to-be parents opted to be based at Buckingham Palace where they will have their own staff. On the other hand, Prince William and Kate Middleton are staying at Kensington Palace.

According to Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart, Prince William and Prince Harry have to part ways for a shocking reason related to kingship. The second-in-line to the throne needs to shift his focus to his future royal rule of being the next king after Prince Charles. Also, the two brothers have different roles.

“As the future King of England, William is preparing for his role and the high-profile responsibilities that will come with this,” Mackintosh-Stewart said before adding that the Middleton’s husband needs his own staff and support to facilitate the move.

On the other hand, Prince Harry is way down the line of succession. The Duke of Sussex is currently sixth-in-line to the throne and will have less onerous responsibilities and more family freedom.

“As a result, he needs a household and support staff which reflects this, whilst also gaining independence from his father and brother – much like any normal individual would,” Mackintosh-Stewart said of Prince Harry.

She also cleared the rumors that Prince William and Prince Harry’s split was due to their alleged rift. She insisted that the move had nothing to do with those rumors and more on about their progression.

“The separation of their households therefore doesn’t necessarily symbolise a growing rift as rumours suggests, but rather a natural progression of age, maturity and changing personal needs,” she explained.

According to royal commentator Lizzie Robinson, Prince William and Prince Harry’s split just “makes sense” because they have a growing family and are getting ready for their next move up. ITV royal editor Chris Ship believes that Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s sons actually split later than most siblings do.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle might welcome their baby this week. Betting odds suggest that chances are high for the duchess to give birth within the week.
