Princess Beatrice may not have a lavish wedding just like her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, due to a surprising reason.

On the podcast “Royals,” royal expert Angela Mollard said that the royal siblings’ special day may be very different from each other because of the background of their partners.

Princess Eugenie wed Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle last year. Brooksbank is single, which means that he was never married and he also doesn’t have a child.

Princess Beatrice’s boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had a child with his previous girlfriend, but he never married her.

“It’s interesting, there has been some talk that she can’t have the sort of wedding that her younger sister Princess Eugenie had. I suspect because of the fact that he had a child with somebody else and didn’t marry her… Look, I think this is probably pure speculation,” she said.

Mollard pointed out the fact that Meghan Markle was allowed to wed Prince Harry in a church even though she’s a divorcee. And as such, there really isn’t any reason for Mozzi to be regarded as an unsuitable partner for Princess Beatrice.

“He has a son he clearly adores, the relationship didn’t work out with the child’s mom, but you really just want people to be happy in the end, don’t you? I would hope there wouldn’t be any censure on him because of the fact that he has a son,” she said.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice also made headlines this week after it was reported that her iconic “toilet hat” was sold for a huge sum of money due to a touching reason.

While speaking on Yahoo’s “The Royal Box,” royal commentator Omid Scobie said that the money that was gathered from the hat went straight to UNICEF and Children in Crisis.

Princess Beatrice wore the controversial hat to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011, and it drew hurtful criticisms. But the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson turned things around and use the opportunity to benefit those in need.
