Princess Beatrice showed a glimpse of her baby bump Wednesday when she was spotted for the first time since her pregnancy announcement.

After revealing that they expecting their first child together, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were all smiles as they walked around London. In the photos obtained by People, the pregnant royal was in good spirits, sporting a cranberry wrap dress that revealed a hint of her growing baby bump.

The daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew paired her dress with a black sweater, tights and leather boots. Princess Beatrice tied her hair in a messy bun and carried a small black handbag and a takeaway cup with a spoon. Meanwhile, her property developer husband donned a blue sweater over a button-down and jeans for their outing.

Mozzi's child with Princess Beatrice will be his second one. He also shares son Christopher Woolf with his ex-fiancée, American architect and designer Dara Huang.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi announced the happy news early Wednesday via the official Royal Family Twitter account.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year. The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news," Buckingham Palace tweeted.

Despite being ninth in line for England's throne, their child will have a royal title thanks to the lineage of Mozzi, who is an Italian count.

"Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation," his father, Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, told the Daily Mail. "He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna."

However, the timing of Princess Beatrice and her husband's pregnancy announcement drew mixed opinions as it came on the same day Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their third wedding anniversary.

A highly placed source, who was not named, told Page Six, "It was a total dig at Harry and Meghan" for stealing Princess Eugenie's thunder on her big day.

Royal biographer Robert Jobson, author of "Prince Philip's Century," seemed to agree with the speculation.

"In life, timing is everything. And it seems that after Harry and Meghan stole the headlines and world attention by announcing that Meghan was pregnant with Harry, taking the limelight away from Princess Beatrice’s wedding, that she didn’t forget," he told the outlet.

He continued, "Announcing her own pregnancy on the Sussexes third wedding anniversary may have been a coincidence, but I don’t think so. What goes around comes around."
