Princess Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank last Friday, and she made a sweet gesture that royal fans might have missed.

Latifa Yedroudj, a journalist for Express, revealed that Princess Eugenie stayed true to her being an environmental advocate by adding a special touch to her wedding bouquet. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter opted for biodegradable Oasis – an environmentally-friendly floral foam – to be used in all their flower displays.

Prince Andrew confirmed that his youngest daughter requested to have an eco-friendly wedding, and he delivered. During an interview with British Vogue, the 28-year-old revealed that her entire house is currently anti-plastic.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank tapped the expertise of Rob Van Helden in arranging her bouquet and the other flowers at the wedding and reception venues. The arrangements included Liquid Amber trees, roses, spray roses, hydrangeas, dahlias, and berries, representing the autumn months.

“It has been a great privilege and honor to create the flowers for Princess Eugenie and Jack on their wedding day. Her Royal Highness has been very involved from the start and has been instrumental in the autumn theme. The whole floral design team and I wish Princess Eugenie and Jack our heartfelt congratulations and we hope they have a magical wedding day,” Helden said.

In related news, royal fans are curious as to what Princess Eugenie’s full name will be now that she’s married to Brooksbank, who isn’t a royal. Liam Doyle, a journalist for Express, said that Princess Eugenie may follow in Zara Phillips footsteps of using Mike Tindall’s surname after they tied the knot.

It is entirely up to Princess Eugenie if she wants to be called Princess Eugenie of York or be named Eugenie Brooksbank. An official royal title was not bestowed on her and Brooksbank unlike Prince William and Prince Harry who became the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex respectively.

As a result, Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, is known as the Duchess of Cambridge. Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, is officially called the Duchess of Sussex.
