Princess Madeleine of Sweden hosted a fairytale party for little girls at the Royal Palace of Sweden Monday. She made little girls dream of becoming prince and princess for a day. The Swedish royal invited 12 kids to the party dressed as princesses themselves.

The fairytale festival was held at the Mirror Room in the palace. A dozen kids, both boys and girls from all over the country were invited to participate in the tea party. But, the kids had to dress up like little princes and princesses for the party.

There were nine little girls and three little boys between five and eight, dressed up in their finest clothes. They were treated to juice, cookies and cake and also entertained by a magician. Madeleine invited the children into her home in her role as patron of Min Stora Dag (My Big Day), a charity foundation.

The charity supports children with serious illnesses by granting them a wish, whether it’s an excursion or an activity. The 33-year-old Swedish princess looked stunning in a powder blue gown with sheer long sleeves. Her dress featured high neck, ruffled sleeves and embellished detailing.

The mother-of-two accessorized with a blue satin sash complete with her royal badge, brooch, drop earrings and a glittering tiara. Her honey blonde tresses were styled into a messy up "do" with face-framing tendrils. Madeleine’s make-up was flawless and consisted of bronzer, pink lipstick, black eyeliner and eye shadow.

She also flaunted her deep brown manicure as she played with the children and posed for pictures with them. In the room tables were laid out with white linen with lots of food. There were chandeliers all over the room.

Madeleine’s daughter Princess Leonore, who turned two on Saturday, was also seen in the pictures. The toddler looked adorable in a pink frock complete with a matching bow and tutu.

The mother took to her Facebook page and shared a series of three photographs from the party with the kids. “Leonore and I had a wonderful afternoon with children from Min Stora Dag. We were all dressed up!” she captioned a picture.
