Priyanka Chopra looked somber when she stepped out in New York City without husband Nick Jonas by her side. The actress’ outing came before her confession that she and the singer liked “sexting” whenever they are apart.

On Thursday, Chopra was photographed crossing a street in the Big Apple looking serious and solemn. The “Quantico” star rocked a gray crop top, black sweatpants and a knee-length wool coat. She also wore stylish pointy boots and cat-eyed sunglasses. Because it was a rainy afternoon, she had someone carry an umbrella for her.

Hours after her outing, Priyanka showed up on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” to talk about a lot of things, including her and Nick’s secret to maintaining the “heat” whenever they are not together.

During a round of “I Do’s and I Don’ts,” Chopra was asked by the talk show host if she “believes in sexting or FaceTime sex during long stints apart.” The “Isn’t It Romantic” star did not hesitate to respond, “For sure.”

Jonas and Chopra tied the knot last December. The couple had two weddings. When she made a guest appearance on “The Late Late Show” last month, Priyanka joked that they had 32 wedding ceremonies before calling two nuptials they had “conservative.”

“[We had] two weddings. One western Christian wedding and one Hindu wedding for our religions. … Indian pre-rituals can go on for like five days. Mine was just two. I was conservative,” she said.

Chopra recently appeared in the music video for the reunion track of Nick and his brothers, “Sucker,” alongside Sophie Turner, Joe’s fiancée, and Danielle Jonas, Kevin’s wife. In the video, the Jonas brothers rock contrasting and colorful looks and there’s a good reason for this.

The group’s stylist Avo Yermagyan told the Hollywood Reporter this week that the decision to steer clear of typical boy band outfits had to do with Priyanka’s Eastern roots and Nick’s growing fan base internationally, particularly in India.

Apparently, Nick has become so famous in Priyanka’s home country that he is now referred to as “Jiju” there. The word basically means “brother-in-law” or “sister’s husband,” according to Page Six.
