  • Queen Elizabeth II shared a family photo of the Sussexes on Instagram to greet Archie a happy birthday
  • Prince William and Kate Middleton shared one of Archie's baptism photos and wished him well on his 2nd birthday
  • Prince Charles also shared a snap of him with Prince Harry carrying Archie as he wished his grandson a happy birthday

Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles greeted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie, on his birthday.

The royal family, including the Queen and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sent well wishes to Archie on his second birthday. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also did the same to celebrate their grandson's special day.

"Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today," the royal family wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Prince Harry carrying Archie with Markle by his side. The photo was taken when the couple introduced their son to the public.

Prince Harry and Middleton also extended a warm greeting to Archie for his 2nd birthday. The future king and queen consort shared one of the official photos released during Archie's baptism to commemorate the event. "Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today," Prince William and Middleton wrote along with a balloon and cake emoji.

The Cambridges’ birthday greeting to Archie prompted some netizens to wonder if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did the same to their kids. Last month, Prince Louis turned 3 years old. Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte celebrated her 6th birthday Sunday.

"Did Meghan and Harry wish Louis and Charlotte Happy Birthday recently in the same way? Genuine question," one asked.

The question received mixed responses from the other online users. Some believed that the couple didn't while others were convinced they did, it's just that the Sussexes have no official social media accounts.

"They don’t have social media so where would you like them to post a Happy Birthday for each of [their] nephews and niece?" one commented.

"They don’t have social media for other than their business side (with a recent exception). Therefore they can’t wish a happy birthday like this," another added.

"Yes. They always do. And they skype too. Why?" another wrote.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles also shared a sweet black and white photo to celebrate the milestone. In the picture, Prince Harry is smiling while carrying his son; Prince Charles is standing beside him while looking at Archie.

"Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today," the caption read.
