Queen Elizabeth’s health became a cause for concern among royal fans after it was reported that she skipped a royal engagement that she has consistently attended since 1943.

Her Majesty was scheduled to make her annual visit to the Women’s Institute in Norfolk this week, but she pulled out at the last minute. A statement from the palace confirmed that the monarch is suffering from a slight cold, but they assured everyone that the condition is not a cause for alarm.

Still, this didn’t stop some royal fans from expressing their concern for the Queen, who is turning 94 years old this year. Her Majesty is embroiled in a series of controversies involving some members of the royal family.

Last year, Prince Andrew gave a controversial interview about to deny the sexual abuse claims being thrown at him. Days after his interview with BBC aired, the Duke of York announced that he will be stepping back from his royal duties.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they will be quitting the royal family. These crises have directly affected the Queen.

Meanwhile, the Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, was also rushed to the hospital before Christmas to seek treatment for a pre-existing condition. Weeks later, rumors swirled that the Duke of Edinburgh has died at the age of 98.

On Twitter, some royal fans wished the Queen and Prince Philip more happy and healthy years together.

“I am very concerned for the health of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth over what’s happening over the past few weeks,” Twitter user @BUDDY1968 said.

“This is such a heartbreaking story and then history repeated itself. Prince Philip has been the backbone of Queen Elizabeth and the royal family. I hope this whole saga is not affecting his health,” Twitter user @Bbyrne48713401 said.

“Harry and Meghan, y’all about to kill Queen Elizabeth with your antics,” Twitter user @Fishgrease said.
