Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite grandchild and favorite royal step out together.

For years, there are speculations that Queen Elizabeth II favorite grandchild is either Prince William or Prince Harry. Last week, Adam Helliker reported that the monarch’s favorite grandchild is actually Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex’s daughter Lady Louise Windsor.

Lady Louise and her mom Sophie, Countess of Wessex, stepped out together and visited Burghley House in Stamford for the Burghley Horse Trials over the weekend. Lady Louise reportedly had fun at the trial and even posed inside a Red Arrow plane at the event.

Lady Louise donned a pair of jeans with a floral blouse, blazer and boots. Meanwhile, her mom sported a casual ensemble of a red and white striped floor-length skirt. Sophie matched her daughter’s blazer by sporting one, too.

This was the third time Lady Louise made an unexpected public appearance. In June, she and her younger brother James, Viscount Severn, 11, shared a carriage ride with their parents for the Trooping The Colour ceremony. After a month, they both attended a public engagement at Bristol Zoo.

According to an insider, Lady Louise is the Queen’s favorite grandchild at present. The monarch is also reportedly fond of her brother.

“The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James relish their time at Balmoral, and she has become particularly close to Louise, who seems to have become her favourite grandchild, closely followed by James,” the source said.

Lady Louise reportedly endeared herself to everyone by looking after Prince William and Middleton’s kids when they were together. She loves drawing and sketching and was very patient in trying to get Princess Charlotte do pictures of rabbits and deer.

“Because of her obvious artistic skill, the Queen allowed Louise to look through some of the collection of Queen Victoria’s Highlands sketches which are kept at Balmoral but are rarely dug out these days,” the insider continued.

Meanwhile, Lady Louise’s mom Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is reportedly Her Majesty’s favorite royal. Prince Edward’s wife divides her time in supporting the monarch and has a patron of 70 charities and organizations.

According to royal expert Robert Jobson, Sophie is “very much the Queen’s favorite.” He added that one will notice this whenever there is a family holiday or gathering because the Earl and Countess of Wessex stay longer than the rest.
