Rachael Leigh Cook is a romantic comedy queen with classics like “She’s All That” and “Josie and the Pussycats” in addition to her more recent string of Hallmark movies. Damon Wayans Jr. is best known for rom-com TV shows like “Happy Endings” and “New Girl.” It was only a matter of time before they ended up in a movie together.

Netflix debuted the trailer for “Love, Guaranteed” on Thursday. The romantic comedy follows Nick (Wayans) as he sues a dating website. The app guaranteed that he’d find loved, and he hasn’t found his match just yet. Not only that, he’s been on several spectacularly terrible dates.

Susan (Cook) is the lawyer on Nick’s case, and she has only taken the case because Nick is willing to pay her small law firm some big money. There’s just one problem: how can she help sue a dating site if she’s never used one? She’ll have to do some swiping to see what all the fuss is about.

Coming in as the head of the dating app that they’re suing is Heather Graham, who plays Tamara Taylor.

The “Love, Guaranteed” trailer, which can be watched at the top of this page, makes it pretty clear that Susan and Nick are going to fall in love right when they least expect it.

A man who sued Coors for their beer not actually being made with Rocky Mountain Water served as inspiration for star Rachael Leigh Cook, and she came up with the idea for the “Love, Guaranteed” script, which was then written by Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy.

In addition to coming up with the story and starring, Cook is also a producer on “Love, Guaranteed” alongside Dan Spilo, Stephanie Slack and Margret H. Huddleston. Mark Steven Johnson directs.

“Love, Guaranteed” premieres Sept. 3 on Netflix.
