Citing the Georgia state patrol news release, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that a trooper spotted the rapper's car "fail to signal when changing lanes on Lee Street near Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard." The rapper also drove in a reckless manner. As the trooper followed him, he tried escaping at a high speed before being blocked by traffic. He then pulled over and was arrested.

Original story:

Rapper Lil Baby was arrested for reckless driving in Georgia on Thursday.

TMZ reported the rapper was taken into custody by Georgia State Patrol troopers for “failure to signal, eluding police and reckless driving.”

A video of his arrest, posted on Instagram by DJ Akademiks, shows police pulling him out of his car on a highway. The rapper, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was seen lying face down on the middle of the road. His hands were behind his back. The officer then pinned him down to the ground and handcuffed him.

Atlanta Police Department told TMZ they had nothing to do with the rapper’s arrest. Lil Baby was released from Atlanta City Jail on bond a few hours later.

Earlier this week, the rapper, best known for his songs "Yes Indeed" and "Freestyle,” was seen arriving at the Stripper Bowl event in Atlanta in a helicopter. He also performed with Migos and Lil Yachty at the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest in Atlanta on Jan. 31. His next tour will kick start in Houston, Texas, on Mar. 13 with Blueface and City Girls. The tour will conclude in Atlanta on April 20.
