The Real Reason Tamra Judge Quit 'The Real Housewives Of Orange County'

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" is going through some major changes -- starting with the cast.

Following the exit of two of the show's longtime cast members, details have emerged that explain exactly what happened that prompted Tamra Judge to quit the show. Well-known "Housewives" producer and Bravo personality Andy Cohen confirmed everything on his Sirius XM radio show on Monday.

"It was a big weekend in the 'Housewives' world," Andy said, according to Radar Online. "It was very dramatic."

"She [Tamra] told People magazine that we had offered her three episodes to come back and kind of wrap out her story. That is true. She didn’t want to do that," he explained.

Andy added, "She’s been on the show for 12 years. We wanted to give her a sendoff."

Tamra announced her departure from "RHOC" in an Instagram post over the weekend.

"It’s been a wild 12 years," she captioned a photo of herself and husband, Eddie Judge. "But it’s time for me to move on. I'm sad to go but very excited about my future. Love you guys."

Although the departure of both Tamra and Vicki was sudden, it wasn't exactly a surprise. Andy had previously hinted at a major cast shakeup in Dec. 2019.

"The casting for next season is some of the best casting we’ve had," Cohen shared at the time.

With two "Housewives" gone that now leaves those slots open for some other ladies to swoop in. There hasn't been much official talk about who could potentially join the "RHOC" cast for Season 15 but there is always the chance that they could bring back some familiar faces.

Alexis Bellino (Seasons 5-8), Gretchen Rossi (Seasons 4-8), and even Meghan King Edmonds (Season 10-12) have all spoken about on whether or not they would make their way back to the reality show. However, there are also rumors swirling about some Orange County residents who have ties to the existing cast.

Season 15 of "RHOC" is currently in production, so it's only a matter of time before fans should have a pretty good idea of who will be gracing their TV screens each week.
