Reese Witherspoon seemed to have had a little too much fun at friend and co-star Jennifer Aniston's 50th birthday bash as she fell down the stairs and looked a little worse for wear after she left the venue.

Witherspoon, 42, was photographed with a red face as she exited the Sunset Tower hotel in West Hollywood over the weekend. The actress may have had a little too much to drink during the celebration as she made a bleary-eyed exit from Aniston's bash. In photos released by Daily Mail, the "Big Little Lies" star held onto a glass handrail for support when she accidentally suffered a tumble down a flight of stairs.

After her fall, Witherspoon was assisted by hotel staff before she brushed off the tumble and headed to her car. Photos also showed her looking wasted as she was driven home by her chauffeur. It is uncertain whether or not the "Legally Blonde" star suffered any injuries following her fall.

Before the event started, Witherspoon looked the epitome of grace and glamour in a black mini-dress, platform heels, a black faux-fur coat and matching clutch. She let her gorgeous blonde locks hang loose down her shoulders.

Aside from Witherspoon, many other celebrity pals of Aniston's also attended her lavish birthday bash. Among her guests were Katy Perry, her boyfriend Orlando Bloom, John Mayer, Gwyneth Paltrow, George and Amal Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., Ellen DeGeneres, Barbra Streisand, Keith Richards, Kate Hudson, Laura Dern, Demi Moore and Jennifer Meyer. Aniston's "Friends" co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow also came to celebrate the milestone with her, People reported.

However, it seemed that Aniston's most surprising guest for the evening was her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. Photos from the event showed the actor, who was married to Aniston for five years before they broke up in 2005, had his long hair slicked back under a cap when he arrived at the hotel.

According to a source, Aniston reportedly decided to invite Pitt because she wanted everyone she loved to celebrate with her and that included her ex-husband.

“Brad, for long, was a very important part of Jen’s life. She debated back and forth with friends if she should invite him,” an insider told People magazine in another report. “She was very happy that he showed up. Many of his close friends were at the party too.”

Aniston and Pitt reportedly "hugged" and talked to each other, but the actress had to mingle with other guests so they didn't chat for long. "[Jennifer] didn’t really pay any special attention to Brad,” the source said.
