After Subaru confronts his past, he encounters Echidna in "Re:Zero - Starting Life In Another World" Season 2, Episode 5. The episode is set to showcase Subaru in a different light as he opens up to his father.

The official preview trailer for "Re:Zero - Starting Life In Another World" Season 2, Episode 5 named "One Step Forward" shows Echidna and Subaru in the classroom. Meanwhile, Kenichi, Subaru’s father, uses the Reverse Indian Deathlock move on his son compelling him to tap out. Kenichi tells him they could not talk enough about life and pro wrestling.

Subaru is grateful for meeting his parents again. In Episode 4, Subaru meets Kenichi and Nahoko after a long time.

The upcoming episode shows Subaru realizing he can never go back to lead the life he was living before he was transported into the magical world. It remains to be seen if it is a spell by Echidna. When he meets Echidna in his classroom, she tells him he arrived earlier than expected.

The trailer for "Re:Zero - Starting Life In Another World" Season 2, Episode 5 also shows Emilia and she looks terrified. It is likely she too confronted her past in the new episode. It will be interesting to see Echidna’s next move, she is turning out to be quite an interesting character.
