  • Erika Jayne felt she was "betrayed" by "RHOBH" producers and Bravo following Wednesday's episode, a report says

  • Producers "cut it and paste it in a way to make it look like" Jayne was upset, according to the report

There was more to Erika Jayne and Garcelle Beauvais' spat on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" than meets the eye, a report has suggested.

On Wednesday's episode of "RHOBH," Jayne accused Beauvais of "betraying" her friendship by revealing that her estranged husband Tom Girardi still called her "daily" amid their divorce in a scene with all of their castmates.

However, an unnamed source told Page Six that Jayne's anger and upset were actually directed at the reality show's production rather than her castmate. The insider claimed Jayne felt she was "betrayed" by "RHOBH" producers and Bravo over how their conversation was portrayed in the episode.

"They cut it and paste it in a way to make it look like she was upset, but she was actually mad that Garcelle was told what to say three times and she took the bait," the source told the outlet. "They had three different conversations about the same subject."

The insider claimed that the episode did not show Jayne and co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff having a private conversation away from cameras, but producers heard it through their mics. When they got in the car, the producers said they overheard it and asked Kung Minkoff to ask Jayne on camera, according to the source.

Beauvais was "actually never a part of" Kung Minkoff and Jayne's conversation, and this was the reason why footage only showed the women walking with their backs to the camera with the voiceover from the hot mic, the insider alleged.

"Bravo didn’t want to do the fourth wall. They pulled a fast one," the insider added.

A separate, unnamed source "close to the production," however, told Page Six that there was real drama between Jayne and Beauvais.

"Erika’s reaction to Garcelle was genuine," the insider claimed.

The behind-the-scenes drama was first revealed by Lisa Rinna Thursday via her Instagram Story.

"Dang it…I wish they had shown the screaming fight between the producer and Erika last night on the show in La Quinta. Now that would have been epic TV. Too bad. Bravo Bravo F–king Bravo," read Rinna's post, as per Page Six.

The 58-year-old reality star even joked, "I'll get in trouble for this in.....5,4,3,2,1," adding a winking face with tongue emoji.

During the Wednesday episode, Beauvais brought up the revelation about Girardi calling Jayne daily with the entire group when they were at Kyle Richards' vacation home.

"Erika shared, if you don't mind me sharing, that Tom calls her," she said, to which Jayne replied, "Well, I do mind you saying that because I feel like you're betraying my friendship right now. But please, have your moment."

When Beauvais responded that she "didn't want to do it like that," Jayne raised her voice as she said, "So let me tell the f------ story."

"Tom calls me all the time. I won't take his call," she continued, before telling her castmate, "You got it out of me once, and now you want to do it again."

Beauvais said that it was "not my intention," but Jayne told her to not "f------ sugarcoat it."

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Jayne's estranged husband, Girardi, was spotted out for the first time since she filed for divorce from him in November 2020 and amid his legal troubles. The former lawyer sported a black eye and slimmer frame as he received the help of an unidentified woman while walking. It was unclear how he sustained his injury.
