Braunwyn Windham-Burke has decided to officially end her marriage to Sean Burke.

Braunwyn and Sean are getting divorced after being married for 23 years. The "Real Housewives of Orange County" star filed for divorce in an Orange County court on Monday.

In the court documents obtained by People, she listed "irreconcilable differences" as grounds for the divorce. Braunwyn requested to share legal custody of their seven children but also asked for physical custody with Sean getting visitation rights.

In addition, the Bravo star requested spousal support, a division of personal properties and Sean paying her attorney fees.

Braunwyn filed for divorce two years after coming out as a lesbian in December 2020. She previously said they were in an "open marriage" and "modern marriage" as they moved forward and began dating other women.

When a fan asked via Instagram whether they were "staying married" or if she was "moving forward" with her life after she came out as gay, Braunwyn said they were trying to do both.

"He's my best friend and family. We know it might be impossible, but we're going to try and make this 'open' marriage work," she said, Us Weekly reported.

In September 2021, Braunwyn talked about her co-parenting arrangement with Sean and mentioned that they were doing great. She also said at the time that they had no plans to get a divorce.

"It's great. I mean, we really are nailing the co-parenting thing. We are best friends. We've been together for 26 years. He understands that this has been a dream of mine forever, so he's supportive!" she told Us Weekly about her ex.

"I don't think we're going to get divorced, honestly. I truly don't think we're going to. We get along great, we have an open marriage — it's working for us. We're happy."

Braunwyn was last linked romantically to Victoria Brito. But they split in July. Meanwhile, Sean confirmed in April that he has been dating someone new.

"It's taken me a long time to even start dating because of work and adjusting to co-parenting," the businessman told Page Six. "For right now, my priority is my family and my business ahead of anything else. But I am excited to see what the future holds."

Sean and Braunwyn have been together for 28 years and share seven children — Bella, 22, Rowan, 20, Jacob, 17, 9-year-old twins Caden and Curren, Koa, 7, and Hazel, 4.
