‘Riverdale’
What kind of relationship with Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) have with her brother, Chic (Hart Denton) in “Riverdale” Season 2? The CW

The role of Chic Cooper in “Riverdale” Season 2 has just been cast!

According to TV Line, “Lethal Weapon” guest star Hart Denton will be giving life to Betty Cooper’s (Lili Reinhart) older brother. The actor/musician will be recurring as Chic throughout Season 2, but he will only be introduced in the hit The CW series midway through the upcoming season.

Fans of “Riverdale” first learned about Betty and Polly’s (Tiera Skovbye) brother in the Season 1 finale when their mom, Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick). In the scene, Alice told Betty that she got pregnant at a young age and felt the need to give Chic up for adoption. When Betty told Veronica (Camila Mendes) that she has an older brother, Veronica predicted that he will be an Adonis lookalike, and she’s right.

As of late, it is still unclear what will happen to the Coopers with Chic’s arrival in town. Since he doesn’t have a relationship with his real family, it’s possible that everyone would require some time to get used to each other. There are speculations that Chic could bring trouble to Riverdale, but other details about the character are still being kept under wraps.

Meanwhile, Chic isn’t the only new character that will be introduced in the show. In next week’s premiere episode, Veronica will be reunited with her dad, Hiram (Mark Consuelos). Hiram just got out of prison, and he is more than excited to reunite with his problem and protect them with all his might.

Additionally, Veronica’s ex-boyfriend, Nick St. Clair (Graham Phillips) will also be visiting her in Riverdale. The troublemaking rich kid is not over his old and evil ways, but Veronica is. When he reunites with his ex-girlfriend, he will encourage Veronica to turn to her dark side, but she wouldn’t allow for this to happen.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that Nick will start causing problems for everyone. “We got pretty dark with his storyline. In a way, it’s potentially the darkest storyline we’ve told… It does involve Archie and Veronica, but it sort of draws other characters into the churning waters as well,” he said.

“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EDT.
