Swedish musical sensation Robyn will be performing alongside Coldplay on their U.S. tour during June and July, the artist announced on her blog today.

Emily Sandé, who recently took home a Critic's Choice award at the Brits, will also be touring with the band, but in July and August rather than June.

Robyn's electropop beats fit in well with Coldplay's latest tack towards the electronic with their electro-tinged Mylo Xyloto album released in in October 2011.

Before the release of Mylo Xyloto, Robyn put out a down-tempo cover of the EP's headline track, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, which debuted on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge:

Last summer Robyn toured with Katy Perry, supporting her California Girls tour. Perry had kind words for Robyn, telling MTV in December that I don't need to give [Robyn] advice, she needs to give me advice. She's cool, dude. She makes everyone cooler. ... She's just, like, the epitome of effortless cool, like you look at her wardrobe and you think, 'I don't think I could wear that,' but she wears it and she just owns it.
