An Amber Alert was issued by the New York State Police Department (NYPD) on Monday for a teen who went missing in Rochester, New York, over the weekend.

Joanna Coates, 14, is believed to have been abducted from LaSalle Street in Rochester around 7 p.m. EST on Dec. 1, Saturday. The missing girl is a white female, around five-feet, four-inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She has green eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing Timberland boots, a blue Nike shirt and black leggings.

The suspected kidnapper is Robert Gonzalez, 41. He is a Hispanic male and is around six feet tall and weighs around 185 pounds. He has black hair (balding) and brown eyes and was last seen traveling Southeast, possibly heading for New York City. A description of his last seen attire is not available.

The teenager is believed to be in imminent danger, serious harm or death, after the authorities assessed the circumstances that she was kidnapped. It is not immediately known if the victim and the suspect share a relationship.
