The Force is strong today. “Star Wars” fans everywhere got their first look at “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” when the first trailer premiered Thursday morning. The video gives viewers a sneak peek at some of the new characters that will debut in the film and glimpses of the battles to come.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will be a spinoff film in the franchise that will tell the story of some of the events that happened between “Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith” and “Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.” A team of rebels will set out to steal the plans of the Death Star and fans will finally get to see how exactly these plans ended up in the hands of Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). The trailer ran for one minute and 42 seconds and there a few things fans will want to keep an eye out for. Here are five moments you may have missed in the all new trailer:

1. Felicity Jones' Character Debuts

For fans who were crazy over Rey (Daisy Ridley) in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” it looks like there will be another strong heroine coming to the “Star Wars” franchise. Felicity Jones is shown fighting through storm troopers and getting assigned the mission of stealing weapons plans from the Galactic Empire. She’s described as “reckless, aggressive, and undisciplined.”

2. AT-ATs

Fans of “Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back” will recognize the AT-ATs in the “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” trailer. In “The Empire Strikes Back” rebel forces had to deal with AT-ATs in the snowy battle on Hoth. The latest chapter in the “Star Wars” universe shows Rebels taking fire from AT-ATs, but this time it looks like the fight will go down in a much warmer setting.

3. The Death Star

The new video shows a Rebel leader talking about how “a major weapons test is imminent” as shots of the Death Star are shown nearing completion. The Alliance wants to know what this weapon is and how they can destroy it. Viewers will get to see the final stages of the Death Star getting put together in the trailer before it becomes functional.

4. Was that Darth Vader?

There’s one scene in the trailer where a character in dark hooded clothing kneels before what appears to be a hologram. Could this be the first glimpse of Darth Vader in the film? Vader is rumored to be a part of the movie since he was in pursuit of the stolen Death Star plans throughout “Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.”

5. Forest Whitaker

As if the trailer wasn’t enough to get “Star Wars” fans hyped up, Forest Whitaker’s character is shown for the first time and it’s an appearance that’s guaranteed to build excitement. Whitaker gives an epic speech basically asking Jones “What will you become,” as his voiceover plays over battle sequences.
