  • Blackpink's Rosé lived in Melbourne, Australia, before relocating to Seoul, South Korea, to train to be a pop star

  • Rosé released her debut solo project "R" Friday

Rosé has become the second Blackpink member to launch a solo career. But even before the release of her debut single, she had already amassed a sizeable fortune at 24 years old. Here’s how much she is worth.

Born Roseanne Park, the K-pop star has a net worth of over 11.3 billion Korean won ($10 million), Celebrity Net Worth reported. Rosé's wealth mostly comes from endorsement deals, album sales and concert tours as one-quarter of the South Korean girl group Blackpink.

Rosé was first introduced to K-pop fans through her guest appearance in labelmate G-Dragon’s 2012 track “Without You,” per Vogue Australia. She officially made her debut as quartet Blackpink with co-stars Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo in 2016.

The YG Entertainment group released several mini-albums before finally releasing their full album, titled “The Album,” in 2020, Forbes reported. The “On The Ground” singer, together with bandmates Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa, has topped charts around the globe, including Japan, South Korea and the U.S., over the years.

Blackpink is considered as one of the biggest names in music at the moment, according to Forbes. Their international superstardom earned them a spot in the Coachella music festival 2019 lineup. It also secured them a following to warrant a documentary released on Netflix, titled “Blackpink: Light Up the Sky,” last year.

Rosé’s solo activities started in 2017 when she appeared in the Korean variety show, “King of Mask Singer.” She has also appeared in another variety show in her home country titled “Fantastic Duo.”

Aside from music, Rosé is also the face of several fashion and cosmetics brands. She is the ambassador of the Korean beauty brand Kiss Me and was appointed by Yves Saint Laurent's Anthony Vaccarello as one of the French luxury fashion house's global ambassadors in 2020.

The Auckland, New Zealand-born singer migrated with her family to Australia and lived in Melbourne until 2004. She was scouted by YG Entertainment and relocated to Seoul the following year.

Rosé released her debut solo mini-album, titled “R,” this Friday. The offering includes only two songs: “Gone” and lead single “On The Ground,” Forbes reported.

Despite the limited number of songs, pre-orders for Rosé's first solo mini-album have reached at least 400,000, according to the Korea Herald. The release of “R” comes after fellow Blackpink member Jennie dropped her own debut album “Solo” in 2018.
