Prince Harry has been "brainwashed" and is using his interviews to "hurt" the royal family in order to "punish" them, his biographer has claimed.

Commenting on the Duke of Sussex's recent podcast interview, Angela Levin, author of "Harry: A Biography of a Prince," said on "Good Morning Britain" that she feels Prince Harry has been "brainwashed" and that the royal family can't trust him anymore.

"I think it's terrible, it's absolutely disgusting, to be honest... I have to say that I don't think it's very good that you don't let your son have any contact with your family. It is unspeakably, ruthlessly cruel," she said on the British program of Prince Harry's latest interview.

When "GMB" co-host Kate Garraway pointed out that Prince Harry hadn't meant to point the finger at his family, Levin responded, "I think he knows exactly what he wants to say and he wants to hurt them to punish them. I think that they can't trust him anymore."

This came after Prince Harry made surprising revelations about the royal family when he appeared on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast Thursday, including that his father Prince Charles allegedly handed down a "cycle" of "genetic pain and suffering" to him. The Duke of Sussex also vowed to raise son Archie differently from how Prince Charles brought him up, saying his father "treated me the way he was treated."

He also described life as a member of the royal family as "a mix between 'The Truman Show' and being in a zoo."

Levin had the chance to get to know Prince Harry when she was working on his biography in 2017. She joined him in various engagements and interviewed him multiple times. She said she found Prince Harry "terrific" at the time, but at present, he appeared to have changed a lot.

"When I spent over a year with him he was terrific! He was positive. He had issues but they didn't identify him as a victim and now he seems to have had this terrible brainwash and is number one victim," Levin claimed.

Levin also suggested that Prince Harry lied in his podcast interview when he said that his wife Meghan Markle sparked his decision to seek therapy, claiming this was different from what he shared with her years ago.

She said Prince Harry told her in 2017 that it was his brother Prince William who urged him to get help and not his now-wife.

In November 2020, Levin also claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "lack common sense and don't think broadly" if someone would be hurt with their decisions. Levin made the assessment after the couple hired new members for their PR team last year.

"They lack common sense," Levin said after learning that they have 15 team members, adding, "If you haven't got common sense, you're not going to do the right things in the right way."
