Representative Anthony Weiner was hounded by persistent reporters on Tuesday as he refused to answer whether or not he sent a lewd photo from his Twitter account to a 21-year-old college student named Gennette Nicole Cordova.

A lewd photo was tweeted from Weiner's account to Cordova over the weekend. The only question is if Weiner himself did it or intended to do it. Another question is why Weiner was following a 21-year-old female college student on his Twitter account in the first place.

Shortly after the lewd tweet was posted, Weiner tweeted that his Twitter account was hacked.

On Tuesday, during a press briefing, Weiner repeatedly refused to answer whether or not he sent the photo or not. Moreover, he has lawyered up and is seeking civil or criminal actions, presumably against the alleged hackers, reported ABC.

Commenting on Anthony's dodging of the question, a reporter said all you have to do is say no to the question.

When asked why he followed the 21-year-old college student in the first placed, he also refused to answer.

Then, a reporter said to Weiner: You're following an awful lot of young women on Twitter. Is there a reason you get so many ladies that you're following?

Anthony deflected the question and replied in jest that the controversy has allowed him to pass Michele Bachmann in the number of Twitter followers.

In his defense, he has repeatedly said he will not talk about this issue anymore. He said he preferred to talk about more important issues like the US debt ceiling.
