“Rules Don’t Apply” star Lily Collins had a wonderful time attending the 74th Golden Globes awards ceremony. After all, she was nominated for an award in the best actress category for a motion picture - musical comedy.

The young actress even shared her excitement on her Instagram page by sharing several photos of her rosewood pink A-line Zuhair Murad couture gown, which was covered with floral beadwork and accessorized with Harry Winston jewels.

Collins, who sported a braided updo and bright red lips, even took her mother as her date for the special event.

Meanwhile, Collins told Yahoo! News that as gorgeous as her dress was, it presented a couple of problems. For one thing, people kept stepping on the train of her dress. “Everything is very strategically placed up here, so one must hold their back up very straight and not slouch,” Collins said. “Everyone’s been stepping on my train! My mom is running up behind me, like trying to kick people out of the way.”

She added that it was love at first sight when she saw the dress, and no other gown she tried on after can quite compare to it. “I walked through the door and beelined. I tried this one on – tried like seven or eight more and went, ‘No, sorry. First choice.’ I just knew it,” Collins said. “I love this color. I just - it’s fun, it’s fresh, it’s great.”

Collins is known to shake up her look every once in a while when she hits the red carpet, and she said it’s quite an adventure trying on different looks. “I find this so fun. I love fashion. I find that this is a huge honor to be here and if you don’t have fun with it, you’re kind of missing out, right?” Collins said.
