  • "Call of Duty: Warzone" could get a Duos mode soon
  • Activision and Infinity Ward accidentally leaked the upcoming mode in a teaser on its website
  • Warzone recently added a new four-man squad mode called Quads

Call of Duty: Warzone” appears set to add a fan-favorite mode in the game, that is if a recent leak is to be believed.

According to reports, Infinity Ward and Activision may have accidentally leaked the addition of Duos mode in Warzone. This is after a teaser was posted on the game’s official website showing a team of four jumping together and a team of two firing and battling enemies.

The said teaser was immediately removed from the website, but not until fans got a screenshot of it.

It remains to be seen if and when Duos mode would be added. However, it is highly likely that it is true and it would be launched some time this Season Three. After all, having Quads mode and Duos teased together suggests that the two-man team mode would arrive sooner rather than later.

For what it’s worth, Duos mode is popular in the battle royale genre, and there’s no doubt players have been eagerly waiting for it to be available in “Warzone” given that the game is growing in popularity since its launch last March.

On other news, Warzone received plenty of updates as the Season Three contents were rolled out.

Of course, the most popular is Quads which allows players to play in a team of four. The new mode also impacts the Plunder mode of the game, as players can now collect cash at a faster rate with more players in their squad.

Furthermore, Activision and Infinity Ward also made a massive change in its loadout drops in Season Three. Put simply, they made loadouts more expensive, increasing its price from $8,500 to $10,000.

It is unknown why the price was increased, but it could be assumed it was done to make it more difficult for players to access it, especially with Quads making it easier to earn cash. It is also possible that it was done to lessen its use and push players not to rely on loadouts too much,

Loadouts allow players to use customized kits and gears – including weapons, equipment and other perks – which make it invaluable. However, it has its fair share of detractors, with popular streamer Ninja even claiming that it leads to less variety.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
