  • "Call of Duty: Warzone" finally receives its Season Three Update
  • With the Season Three update, loadouts are now more expensive
  • The new game mode Quads, however, has been unveiled

“Call of Duty: Warzone” has finally implemented its Season Three updates, including a massive change in its loadout drops.

For those not in the know, loadout drops allow players in the battle royale game to replace their current kits with the loadouts or custom gears they selected. This includes weapons, equipment and perks, which are undoubtedly invaluable in a game that requires strategic thinking and skill.

However, with the Season Three update, loadouts are now harder to come by. This is after Infinity Ward and Activision increased its cost to $10,000, per Polygon.

Previously, loadout drops cost only $8,500. Now, with the sudden change, players will need to collect more cash in the game in order to just purchase the loadouts.

While it could be assumed that the reason for the increase in price was because of the new game mode that allows players to form 4-man squads, it is still a burden to solo players. After all, it is easy to collect cash in teams, but it is a different story when playing alone.

It is also possible that the price increase could be a response to the controversies surrounding the feature, as some players are not in favor of it. By making loadouts more difficult to obtain, perhaps Activision and Infinity Ward are hoping that it would lessen the issue and the complaints that they receive.

It remains to be seen what will be the long-term effect of the price change. However, it is possible that there will be less use of loadout drops and players will instead rely on weapons found in the map.

As mentioned, the main highlight of the “Call of Duty: Warzone” Season Three update is the addition of the game mode called Quads. With this, players can now form a team of four and join the battle royale.

The new game mode is especially useful in Plunder, as players will be able to collect cash faster. However, it poses different challenges, as joining a group battle means players will have to strategize more and avoid getting killed in order to prevent being at a numerical disadvantage.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available of PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
