A Nintendo Switch version of “Super Mario 3D World” is rumored to be in the works, but it might come with a hefty price tag.

It has been reported previously that several Mario games are being remastered for Nintendo Switch, in time for the celebration of the game’s 35th anniversary this 2020. One of the games mentioned to be in the lineup to get a Switch port is “Super Mario 3D World.”

Now, another leak fueled speculations that the 2013 classic is coming to the latest Nintendo console, though at a steep price. Twitter user Wario64 uncovered an inactive listing for the game’s Nintendo Switch version at Best Buy, and it is priced at $59.99.

While the Twitter user warned to take the leak with a grain of salt -- especially since Nintendo has not confirmed anything yet – the listing is still a pretty solid proof that the previously Wii U-exclusive game will come to Switch.

It also bodes well with the rumor last March claiming that Nintendo is planning to remaster the game for Switch along with a Deluxe version. The said deluxe iteration of “Super Mario 3D World” will reportedly even come with an “array of new levels.”

On a more positive note, while 3D World remains but a rumor, Nintendo is not coming short when it comes to bringing new games and updates this 2020.

In their mini-direct announcement last March 26, the Japanese tech and video game company revealed a slew of titles coming to Switch. It is highlighted by several popular 2K games such as “XCOM 2 Collection,” “Borderlands Legendary Collection,” and the whole “BioShock” series – which will all be available on May 29.

Other titles included in the announcement are “Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics,” “Burnout Paradise Remastered,” “Fuser,” “King’s Bounty II,” “Ninjala,” “Catherine: Full Body,” and “Star Wars Episode I: Racer.”

As for “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,” Nintendo is set to release the first fighter in its Fighters Pass Volume 2. While no further information was given about the said new fighter, the tech giant promised to announce the complete details and release the character in June.
