As attacks continue to escalate, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is urging Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to negotiate, CBS News reports.

"Time to talk," Zelenskyy said. "It is time to restore territorial integrity and justice for Ukraine. Otherwise, Russia's losses will be such that it will take you several generations to recover."

Zelenskyy states that Russian forces are besieging major cities in the country, prohibiting crucial resources from making it to neighboring parts of Ukraine, the Associated Press reports.
