An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday night for missing 17-year-old girl Samantha Herrera from Sheridan, Colorado. Police said the teenager is believed to be with a dangerous and "violent man, who is likely armed.

Herrera was last seen in the area of Hampden Avenue and Santa Fe Drive in Sheridan. Authorities found that she is traveling with Rodney Brown, 19, in a 2000 White Honda Accord with Colorado plate OMB236. Herrera is described as a 5-foot-6-inch-tall white female with brown eyes and long brown hair.

According to a release from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Brown is a 5-foot-11-inch-tall white male with blue eyes and short brown hair.

Police are unclear about the relationship the teenager shares with Brown. As the search for Herrera continues, investigators urged the public to help locate the suspect and the victim. Police released the photos of Herrera and Brown.

Additional details surrounding Herrera's abduction were not released.

The latest incident comes weeks after the missing case of a Colorado mother, who is now presumed dead. Kelsey Berreth's disappearance gained nationwide attention after she was last seen on Thanksgiving Day. Police later arrested and charged her fiancé Patrick Frazee. Charges against him included solicitation to commit murder on three counts, as well as two charges of first-degree murder. Police also questioned a nurse in the case believing that she may have helped Frazee dispose of Berreth's cell phone. Earlier this month, Berreth's parents, Cheryl and Darrell, filed a wrongful death lawsuit, seeking unspecified damages against the 32-year-old.
