KEY POINTS

  • Samsung Galaxy A52 will maintain its predecessor's best qualities
  • The next Samsung release will feature an improved battery life
  • A52 will see a boost in performance and features

Months after rumors about the Samsung Galaxy A52 surfaced on the internet, a recent massive leak about the highly anticipated device confirmed the speculations.

German site WinFuture, which claimed to know almost everything about the Samsung Galaxy A52, revealed bits of information pertaining to the device, TechRadar reported. The site hinted the 5G A52 and the midrange 4G A52 will be identical in various aspects. For example, both their rear panels will come in four colors -- blue, black, white and purple.

The rear panels will house quad-camera setups such as a 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP (likely macro), and 2MP (likely depth) units, GSMArena reported.

Samsung will reportedly continue improving its devices' battery life as it did in A51. The A52 series will feature a 4,500mAh battery drawing power through USB-C ports. The leak said both the 4G and 5G A52 devices will run Android 11 with One UI out of the box.

Similar to its predecessor, the A52 will feature a 6.5" FullHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and a fingerprint reader underneath. There will also be a punch hole in the center for the 32MP selfie camera, GSMArena reported.

Depending on the market, the duo will have two memory options such as 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. Both will also have micro SD slots for storage expansions.

Samsung will keep other A51 features such as Bluetooth 5.x, NFC, dual-SIM support and 3.5 mm headphone jacks. The latest release will receive an IP67 rating, meaning they will also be dust and water-resistant to a certain level.

Meanwhile, the site unveiled a list of differences that the users can expect between the 5G A52 and the 4G version, such as chipsets and connectivity, GSMArena reported. The high-end 5G Samsung Galaxy A52 will be powered by Snapdragon 750G running at 2.2GHz speeds. Previous leaks also revealed the 5G version will have a 120Hz panel.

The more affordable version on the other hand will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G with eight ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.3GHz.

The next Samsung device will be out in the market before mid-March. Prices will start at €349 (~$423) for LTE or 4G and €449 (~$545) for 5G versions, XDA Developer reported.
