Sandra Bullock got candid about her relationship with Keanu Reeves and put to rest the dating rumors involving them.

The "Miss Congeniality" star spoke with Esquire for Reeves' magazine cover that will hit newsstands on Dec. 7. During the interview, she opened up about her friendship with Reeves and addressed the speculations if they really dated in the past.

"Nope," Bullock said when asked if she and Reeves ever dated. "But who knows? Keanu's a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he's ever dated. I don't think there's anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don't know."

She continued, "But we didn't have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being."

The actress also said she would probably not say those words if Reeves had dumped her and made her angry. Bullock described the "Matrix" star as a "listener," adding that "it drives people crazy."

Reeves and Bullock starred in the action film "Speed" in 1994 and in the fantasy romance drama movie "The Lake House" in 2006.

She recalled meeting Reeves a year after their first movie was released. One time Bullock told Reeves she never had Champagne and truffles before. Then, a few days later, while Bullock was sitting in the living room of her house painting her nails, Reeves arrived in his motorcycle with Champagne and truffles.

"I just thought you might want to try Champagne and truffles, to see what it’s like," he told her.

They sat on the couch, and she poured them Champagne. They opened the truffles and enjoyed it. Reeves put his hands out without saying a word and she painted his nails black just like hers.

According to Bullock, Reeves didn't stay long during the visit because he had a date. She also admitted that sometimes Reeves' silence would confuse her.

"When I first met him, I would spend as much time as I could filling a silence, just to feel comfortable. And the more I jibber-jabbered on, the quieter he would get," Bullock shared. "And I thought, I don’t understand what’s happening! He’s looking at me with eyes of confusion. He’s quiet. Did I say something to offend him? And then a day or two later, he would arrive with a note or a little package, saying, ‘I thought about what you said.’ And he would have his response."

It has been over a decade since Reeves and Bullock shared the big screen. When the "John Wick" actor was asked about a potential reunion, he said he was willing to do it.

"I sure hope so," he said.
