ABC’s “TGIT” lineup is back! “Scandal” returns to the network tonight after being on hiatus since November, and fans won’t want to miss all the steamy drama plaguing Washington D.C.

The midseason premiere, episode 10, will jump ahead six months from where the fall finale left off. But where exactly did we last find Olivia (Kerry Washington) and the rest of the gang?

Olivia and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) were playing house in the White House. Olivia was acting like the perfect First Lady, but getting cookie recipes and picking out china seemed to be wearing her down. Fitz, on the other hand, couldn’t have been happier. His approval ratings were up and he was happy to have Olivia take a back seat when it came to running things.

Unfortunately, their attempt to play husband and wife didn’t last long. Mellie (Bellamy Young) started shaking things up by filibustering a bill that would potentially cut funding to Planned Parenthood. Fitz was angry at his ex, believing that she was only doing it to get attention. However, Olivia saw that she was fighting for a worthy cause. In order to help her out, Olivia convinced VP Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani) to go in and give Mellie an opportunity to use the bathroom and finish running out the clock. Olivia even gave Mellie a pep talk in the bathroom, encouraging her to continue fighting.

Olivia and Mellie joining teams wasn’t the big shocker though. What came next left “Scandal” fans with their jaws on the floor. Olivia visited a medical clinic and got an abortion. She then returned to the White House and got into an intense fight with Fitz about her new role. After yelling about feeling like a hostage, Olivia told Fitz that “there is no us.”

Meanwhile, David Rosen (Joshua Malina), who had been secretly hooking up with Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi), got denied when he tried to give her a bracelet for Christmas. He re-gifted it to Susan Ross, who has been crushing on him. To make things super awkward, Elizabeth found out about the re-gift.

Elsewhere, Jake (Scott Foley) killed Russell (Brian White), and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) released Rowan (Joe Morton). Jake finally found Rowan, but he didn’t pull a bullet in his head like fans expected. Instead, he apologized and revealed that he knows he’s not Lazarus. The episode ended with Olivia back in her apartment enjoying a glass of wine on her new couch.

As mentioned above, the midseason premiere won’t pick up where viewers left off. The six month time jump will allow “Scandal” fans to see how Olivia and Fitz are coping with their breakup. While it’s not clear how Fitz is doing, the promo video for episode 10 shows Olivia jumping on Jake for a passionate kiss.
