Bean was been married and divorced four times. He met his fourth wife, Sutcliffe, 34, while he was playing Macbeth at a West End theater. She was managing the bar at the theater.

They were married five years later in 2008 and divorced two years later due to irreconcilable differences.

Bean was arrested five months into the marriage on suspicion of assaulting Sutcliffe. The couple said it was a domestic fight that got out of hand.

Sutcliffe said that everything was blown out of proportion. Bean was released from prison with the charges dropped, reported the Daily Mail.

Bean's first marriage was to his school sweetheart in 1981. They later divorced in 1988. He met actress Melanie Hill and they married in 1990. The couple had two daughters before divorcing in 1997. He then met actress Abigail Cruttenden who married in 1997. They couple had a child a year later and they divorced in 2000.

Despite being married and divorced four times, Bean said he still believes in love.

Of course I believe in love despite four divorces. There is nobody who doesn't believe in love, he said according to the Daily Mail. But marriage -- that fits some people but obviously not me. I love doing just nothing in my free time. I love to be with my kid in Yorkshire. I love it there. Working in a garden calms me down.

Last year Bean was stabbed in the arm outside of a London pub after getting into a scuffle over model April Summers.

The pair were smoking outside when a man walked by and made lewd comments about Summers, who is 30 years younger than Bean.

Bean and the man fought. Bean was punched in the face and stabbed in the arm with broken glass, reported CBS News.

He declined to go to the hospital. Instead Bean walked back into the pub and ordered another drink. Bar staff gave him a first aid kit.

Bean played Lord Ned Stark in the first season of the HBO hit 'Game of Thrones,' based off the popular books by George R. R. Martin. He was played Boromir in the first 'Lord of the Rings' movie.
