Alex Rodriguez shared a memorable moment on Instagram earlier this month after proposing to Jennifer Lopez on a beach in the Bahamas with a 16-carat emerald-cut diamond ring. And on Friday, he posted yet another cherishable post, after former President Barack Obama sent him and his fiancée a handwritten congratulatory message.

Rodriguez captioned the photo, "This means the world to us #44."

Obama wrote, "Jennifer and Alex, Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama."

The Obamas wed in 1992 after meeting in their mid-20s at a U.S. law firm. And it is no secret that they have a long-standing relationship with both Lopez and Rodriguez. In 2014, for example, Lopez and then First Lady Michelle Obama posed for a selfie before the 85th Annual League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Convention and Exposition in New York.

And just last year, Lopez shared a photo on Instagram of Barack Obama and Rodriguez at an MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.
