Taylor Swift, 29, and Selena Gomez, 27, have been friends for a very long time. In fact, the two singers even dated two members of Jonas Brothers – Joe Jonas, 30, and Nick Jonas, 27, respectively -- in their younger days. Hence, it comes as no surprise that Taylor and Selena have been very supportive of each other’s careers.

Just last week, Selena released two new singles titled “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now,” which are allegedly about her whirlwind romance with Justin Bieber. Many fans praised the Disney alum for being so brave in expressing her true feelings through her new tracks and this, according to Selena, include Taylor Swift.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Selena Gomez said her new music was so personal that it made Taylor Swift cry. "I played her the song, and I played it with her mom and dad, and I showed her the video, and her mom and Taylor started crying," Selena divulged during the Beat 1 radio guesting, per BuzzFeed. "And it wasn’t because the song was emotional. It was just because the first thing they said to me was, ‘We’re so happy that you’re here. After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment.’ And that’s a huge thing for me," Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend added.

The “Monte Carlo” actress even recalled the moment when she heard Taylor’s sweet words for her new songs. The “You Belong With Me” singer said she has “never been more proud” of Selena. Taylor Swift even stated that she admires how Selena dealt with all the challenges that came her way through the years.

“She’s just the best,” Taylor described Selena Gomez in a previous interview with Zane. “I’m really excited because when somebody has had great life experience, has had really tough things they’ve had to go through and they can process that and make art that’s going to help other people, that’s what kind of song this is,” the current girlfriend of Joe Alwyn added.

Meanwhile, HollywoodLife.com reported that Justin Bieber was “prepared” for Selena Gomez to write songs about him and their failed relationship. An unnamed source revealed to the publication that Hailey Baldwin-Bieber’s husband, allegedly, knew it was coming because that's what they do as artists – sharing their feelings and experiences through their music. Though Justin, reportedly, respects Selena Gomez’s choice to do it, the “Sorry” singer is said to be uninterested in dwelling on the past as he is now focused on building a future with Hailey.

When asked if she wanted Justin Bieber to hear her new tracks, Selena Gomez revealed, during a recent “Zach Sang Show” interview, that she does but she made it clear that her intentions are not evil. The “Spring Breakers” star added she just want to come from a place that’s genuine, adding that she turns things into art when she feels like some things are left unsaid.
